 IDC Research shows:

• More than ¾ of organizations claim to have a cyber-recovery playbook
• More than 90% say their data recovery tools are “efficient” or “highly efficient”
• More than 90% of organizations claim to have some level of automated file/object recovery

 However:

• 46% of respondents have been successfully attacked by ransomware in the past three years
• 47% paid a ransom
• In 22% of attacks, the backup was successfully compromised
• Nearly half experienced data loss
• The #1 reason for lost data after attack is the inability to identify the correct restore point
• Recoveries are measured in days and weeks
