He is also a strong advocate for the homeless community and is widely recognized for his philanthropic spirit.

A recent example of Mike’s selflessness occurred this past Friday night, when he received an urgent call about an 18-year-old patient in need of a life-saving white blood cell transfusion. As a match, Mike didn’t hesitate to adjust his weekend plans. Early Sunday morning, he traveled to Manhattan to donate at the New York Blood Center’s main site at 310 E 67th Street, helping to make a critical difference in someone’s life. The procedure involved both arms being connected to a machine for over two hours to extract the leucocytes (white blood cells) required for the patient. This marked Mike’s 15th leucocyte donation and his 547th lifetime donation with the New York Blood Center alone.

Mike’s unwavering commitment to giving back—through both his time and his actions—continues to make a profound impact on the lives of others. His dedication is not only inspiring but a true reflection of the values we strive to uphold every day.
